RECARGA

“Recarga” is a photographic series that shows the bridges located close and on the boulevard Isidro Lopez, located in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila. The bridges are common places used by migrants in the city to sleep, recharge, and earn some money in the stop lights to continue their journey to the United States. Within the series, González traces migration, temporality, and invisibility of migrants in the country’s laws.

Saltillo is located in the North of Mexico and is known to be a transit city for migrants. “The Beast,” the train used by migrants to cross the country to cross to the United States, passes throughout the city.
