“You Seem/Sound familiar” is a single-channel video produced at a time of debate between two concepts: individuality and migration. Filmed in Woodbine, Toronto's beach in an early Canadian winter season, González traces the motherland's remembrance, memories, and journey by relocating a lullaby's song sung by González’s maternal grandmother sent to her via Whatsapp. The audio is accompanied by a beach video that seems and sounds familiar to a Mexican one in Canada.
